Located on a traditional brownstone block in the rapidly gentrifying Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, Putnam Court provides supportive housing for 34 formerly homeless adults integrated with affordable housing for 24 households earning up to 50% of Area Median Income. CAMBA, Inc., a well-regarded Brooklyn-based nonprofit service provider, provides 24-hour front-desk coverage and on-site supportive services. Dunn Development’s track record in Brooklyn combined with a modern yet contextual design helped secure community support for the project. Dunn Development acquired this private site from a market rate developer in early 2011 during the temporary downturn in the real estate market to create an increasingly rare opportunity for affordable and supportive housing development in Brownstone Brooklyn.
