The Rockaway provides affordable rental housing on former city-owned land in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn. The project is designed to serve a wide-range of income tiers in order to provide as many housing options as possible to the changing community. Additionally, over 80% of the units are two- and three-bedrooms to meet the housing needs of the area’s larger families. Eight units are set aside for formerly homeless families who will receive on-site support services from CAMBA, Inc. The site is well served by transportation and is located a half-block away from the subway.
