Features

The Meekerman, the fourth Dunn Development Corp. project in Williamsburg, Brooklyn used NYC's Inclusionary Housing Program to generate badly needed affordable units in a rapidly gentrifying neighborhood by transferring zoning floor area to market-rate condominiums being constructed elsewhere in Brooklyn CB#1. As part of NYS Housing and Community Renewal's LIHC Mixed-Income Pilot Program (the second project to be completed under this pilot in NYS), newly constructed apartments serve households at up to 40%, 50%, 60%, and 80% AMI. Eight units serve adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities, and on-site services for these units are provided by AHRC New York City. The building incorporates extensive high-performance and energy-efficient components including solar panels.
