Highbridge Overlook was developed on vacant land purchased from the New York City Housing Authority as part of NYCHA’s and HPD’s joint efforts to develop underutilized sites for affordable housing. Highbridge Overlook is the second of two buildings to be developed by Dunn Development on the site, which overlooks the Harlem River and Highbridge Park in Northern Manhattan. The building provides affordable housing for low-income working families at 40%, 50% and 60% of area median income, with units set aside for formerly homeless individuals under the NY/NY III initiative and for NYCHA residents. CAMBA, Inc. provides 24-7 front desk services as well as supportive services from a first-floor office suite. The building achieved ENERGY STAR certification and incorporates extensive high-performance and energy-efficient components including solar panels and a micro co-generation system.
